I'm Dr. Gisell Lopez, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field. In 2016, I opened the doors to my private practice part-time to clients in Miami-Dade and Broward counties offering Psychological evaluations, Academic testing, as well as Supervision and Coaching/Consultation services for mental health practitioners and agencies. In 2021, I expanded my practice full-time as Dr Lopez Is In, incorporating telehealth and in-person individual therapy for older teens, adults, and professionals needing support with Anxiety, Depression, and/or Trauma; providing couples and family work as well.

Before opening my practice, I attended Florida International University (FIU) for my Bachelors in Psychology then Nova Southeastern University (Nova) for a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I was involved in clinical research at FIU and Nova, was a professor at Broward College for undergraduate programs and NSU Masters' level programs for some time, and also have loved presenting/public speaking for conferences, trainings, and events. In the workforce, I gained experience in the school settings (preschool through college) and in private clinics with children, teens and families as well as the community health/ social services world working with chronic mental illness in adults and in behavioral medicine. My role was not only as a clinician, but also primarily holding Administrative and Supervisory positions.

I have a passion for mentorship, which has reflected in my choice to always incorporate this into the work I do. As you know, they say "if you love what you do, you don't work a day in your life" and that is truly how I feel. My goal is to support others to be able to live the ultimate vision for their lives.
